Stress is a very powerful thing.
It can make you think irrationally, and it can come so often.
I'm not very good at dealing with stress, and Mr Jones's class hasn't helped with that, having so much pressure to do well.

I am wondering what encounters you have had with stress, and how you overcome it

Oh so true, there have been times in Mr J's class that have been slightly stressful - but then you just have to think why are you putting so much pressure on your self? Is it really worth it??

Anyway, I talked about how procrastination leads to stress.

Very interesting, Room5ians. I too suffer from stress at times. Usually because I am inadequately prepared for something or because I have done something wrong, or or or...
But really you are correct Mudpies. It is up to you to deal with it and put things in perspective. If you know there is something you can do, do it. Slay the dragon before the dragon slays you :-) Once you have done your best, relax in the knowledge that you have done a what you are prepared to, whilst maintaining balance in your life.

I am not very good at controling my stress :)
It is just that I have such high expectations of myself

I am actually good at controlling my stress. I get/got stressful about production, projects, wether to do Orthapeadic Surgeon or Novelist for our next project. But I think I'll be a Surgeon.
To cure my stress (this is my normal method),I pretend all the stressful things in my life are taking a big breath in... and then as it blows out, all the stress blows out with the excess air (Like Carbondiox... something). It is really effective for me.
Another way is sobbing (really bad crying). That's what I do when I'm REALLY stressed.
But that is rare. Like, once a term.
Leaking tears is also good.
ANOTHER WAY (I'm filled with ways to cope with stress) is to write... just write, write, write. Write stories, poems, chapters in my novel.
But I think that particular method may be for me alone.
Don't worry. :) Mr Jones is supposed to be getting us ready for High School, so we can be comforted with the fact High School is going to be JUST as stressful!

You are full of good ways to get rid of stress Neina :D I find writing lists can make you feel more in control of the stuff that you're doing and reminds you what you need to do and in what way you need to do it :o)

i dont stress as much i just freak out and get really nervous!!!! Ew i hate being nervous!!!!!! i get so scared!!!! lolz But thats just me for ya!!!!
