The bronze medal dramatically achieved by Nick Willis on Wednesday continues a remarkable legacy in the Olympic 1500m.
Later on Wednesday afternoon the 25-year-old will become the sixth New Zealander to stand on the podium for this blue riband event.
Willis is now enshrined in the record books alongside Jack Lovelock (Gold, 1936), Peter Snell (Gold, 1964), John Davies (Bronze, 1964), Rod Dixon (Bronze, 1972) and John Walker (Gold 1976).

This is great. NZ is always getting bronze though *sighs*.
Any medal is good, in fact anyone who competes is good for getting out there and giving it a go.
